-Marc E. Iseli- July 21 2010 I n 2009 I had the great pleasure of working with Col. H. Wayne Whitten USMC (ret), who was then President of the Marine Corps Aviation Reconnaissance Association (MCARA). Together we organized the first VMCJ-1,2,3 and VMFP-3 reunion that was held at Cherry Point, NC, Havelock Tourist & Event Center on May 16th 2009. It was dis appointing not to see any VMFP-3 Veterans show but I had a great time visiting with the VMCJ Veterans and their wives. The day started out attending the MCAS Cherry Point Air Show and ended with a Banquet at the end of the day. An added bonus was seeing the RF-4B Phantom and VMCJ-2 A-6 painted in squadron colors both on static display in the air show. It was a great day to remember and I would like to give a special thank you to H. Wayne Whitten and the VMCJ Veterand who attended.
