Despite its relatively short lifespan, VMCJ's and VMFP-3 has probably had more paint schemes and tail designs than any other modern aviation unit. Not only were the State side based aircraft painted to the COs desires, but the Officers in charge of the overseas dets were usually given the latitude to have the tails painted to their own unique designs.
