event in the early stages of planning and
will only become official depending upon
a large Marine Veteran response. This is
being planned as a family oriented three

Golf Outing, Picnics, and a MCAS Cherry Point
base tour, more details on this below. This

you to share with your family, friends or
even just yourself to see the sites sounds
and smells of an active Marine Air Base and
Marine Corps town exactly as you remembered
it so many years ago. It would also be a

Main Events
Informal Banquet at the Havelock Visitor
Center
An informal banquet could be held at the Havelock
Visitor Center where the RF-4B Phantom is
on display. Hope to have many guest speakers
and prominent officials on hand. This is
also a great place to show your families
the history of Marine Corps Aviation and
a very special group picture in front of
the RF-4B Phantom. Would also like to have
a professional photographer to take these
pictures of the event and we could get a
book made up of the occassion. Read more
about the Havelock Visitor Center by going
to the museum page.
Golf Outing and possibly a Picnic
26 are currently interested
Many have already expressed interest in playing
golf so I would love to arrange a golf outing
that would start on Friday, for the family
members not golfing a picnic could be arrange
where after the golf round they could meet
at the picnic already in progress. This picnic
would also be a great way to te reacquient
Marine Veterans in a nice relaxed atmospher.
MCAS Cherry Point Base Tour
61 are currently interested
Finally a Marine Corps Air Station Cherry
Point tour could be arranged which could
also be very interesting for you and your
family to experience an active Marine Air
Base the sites sounds and smells like you
remember them so many years ago.. Maybe a
picnic could also be held on the base and
we could get some active duty Marines to
participate and exchange stories with the
Vets.
So those are the three main activities that
are being planned. If you have any great
ideas to add to this please feel free to
drop me a line and I will add them to the
list of possibilities. Thank you for your
help and support don't forget to send me
your contact information. There is more detailed
information by clicking on FAQ below.
